Why we give

After five decades of making things happen on an almost-daily basis, and with the resources her commitment and hard work made possible, Marilyn decided to turn the quiet of retirement into a re-purposing of her energies and ideals. Through her nonprofit organization and with the help of her board of directors, she has engaged with her world in new ways and seeks fresh opportunities to make a difference.

She is very committed to making a difference in many areas, such as animals’ needs, contributing funds to our community to continue to do their good work, whether it be for the betterment of animals, providing assistance to wildlife conservation programs that enhance our lives and the lives of future generations, or helping our veterans. Our vets, upon their return from service, need a great deal of help to get back and function in the community. She firmly believes that these are some of the areas that deserve to be addressed.

The mission of the Marilyn Lichtman Foundation is to contribute funds to our community and enhance the quality of life by preserving conservation and wildlife for future generations to enjoy.

Behind this statement resides the love Marilyn demonstrates every day for the beauty of the natural world around her, both flora and fauna, and the joy those experiences provide.
