We were delighted to return to North Shore Animal League America to present another Grant to support their no-kill mission. Giving care and refuge to animals no matter what their medical condition or disability, the dogs and cats they rescue may have been victims of neglect or abuse or saved from the horrors of a puppy mill. The physical and emotional trauma can leave these pets with chronic conditions that require lifelong monitoring; and in most overcrowded shelters, these vulnerable pets would face a death sentence. The prohibitive expense makes it difficult to find responsible, loving homes for otherwise perfect pets — pets capable of bringing joy to their adoptive families, and who also deserve a chance at a happy life.
