Docs for Tots

We were happy to present grant funds to Docs for Tots, based out of Roslyn, NY. Our funds will contribute to their Help Me Grow Long Island program. This program provides free developmental screenings. Trained Family Resource Specialists contact parents to discuss results and facilitate sharing information with their pediatrician and child care provider, and provide helpful resources.

We were happy to present grant funds to Lustgarten Pancreatic Cancer Research, located in Uniondale, NY. Lustgarten Foundation has championed advancements in pancreatic cancer research for 26 years. They are now the world’s largest private funder of pancreatic cancer research.

Save the Sound

We are happy to announce grant funding to Save the Sound. Our funds will be used to help with their project of protecting Plum Island for posterity. Plum Island is part of a chain of islands rich in ecological diversity and home to the Plum Island Animal Disease Center, which has kept most human visitors away for more than 70 years. Save the Sound plans to continue to work with federal agencies and local scientists to begin ecological management planning of Plum Island.

WWe were happy to present grant funds to Spectrum Designs Foundation based out of Port Washington, NY. SDF was created in 2011 as a means of employing adults on the autism spectrum; a group that faces an estimate 85% unemployment rate in the US. Our funds will be used to help them obtain new screen-printing equipment.

Animal Aid

We were happy to present grant funds to Animal Aid, Inc. For over 25 years, Animal aid has been addressing Florida’s pet overpopulation crisis. Our funds will help support additional remote adoption events in Florida. They spay/neuter over 3,000 animals a year with over 1,000 animal adoptions.

Concern for Independent Living

We were happy to present grant funds to Concern for Independent Living, in Medford, NY. Our grant funds will be used in the Coney Island, Brooklyn area for their Cyclone Bagel project. This is a workforce development initiative that provides formerly homeless veterans with hands-on employment experience in the food service industry.
