We are happy to be supporting Volunteers for Wildlife, based out of Locust Valley, NY.  Founded in 1982 by Sallie Ruppert, a World War II nurse, Volunteers for Wildlife (VFW) is a Wildlife Rehabilitation Hospital and Education Center dedicated to preserving a sustainable future for Long Island’s wildlife. They are exclusively dedicated to native wildlife rehabilitation. Their Wildlife Hotline handles 10,000 calls annually about injured, orphaned, and distressed wildlife. They rescue, rehabilitate, and alleviate the suffering of more than 2,300 orphaned and injured wild patients and provide over 200 education and outreach programs each year to ensure the survival of these species for future generations.
