We are happy to once again provide Grant fund support to National Mill Dog Rescue, based out of Peyton, Colorado. Each year, NMDR rescues hundreds of dogs from commercial breeding facilities located mainly in the Midwest. These are dogs who have had minimal human contact, live in cramped quarters with minimal shelter and generally do not receive basic veterinary care. When these dogs are deemed no longer useful or profitable, they are discarded and often killed. NMDR has fostered relationships with breeders to take these “useless” dogs. As NMDR’s mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome these discarded animals, these pups of all ages are now finding their way into adoptive homes to live the rest of their lives in loving homes.
We are delighted to provide grant funds to the Koenig Childhood Cancer Foundation (KCCF). KCCF offers life-saving financial and emotional support to children battling cancer and their families. Founded by Elana Koenig, a cancer survivor who started KCCF at the age of 11 (now 16), with just $900 from her piggy bank, KCCF has grown into a multimillion-dollar charity saving lives
