NCJW National Council of Jewish Women

We happy to once again support the National Council of Jewish Women for their Back 2 School project. This event allows children to “shop” for new clothing (winter coats, sneakers, socks, underwear, pants, tops, pjs, school supplies, and toiletries) and goods at no cost to them. A child who has new clothing and new school supplies is well equipped to begin the school year. This often translates into a more positive approach to the learning experience and increases the chances the child will consistently and regularly attend school. The aim is to educate, empower, improve school attendance, and improve the quality of life for children and families.

National Mill Dog Rescue

We were happy to once again support National Mill Dog Rescue with Grant funds to contribute towards their purchase of a rescue transport van. NMDR rescues dogs from commercial breeding facilities, commonly known as puppy mills, throughout the US. Puppy mills are facilities where dogs are housed in small cages twenty-four hours a day, with minimal human contact or veterinary care, and are forced to breed their whole lives until they are physically incapable. At that time, many commercial breeding dogs are destroyed, others are sold at dog auctions, but fortunately, growing numbers are willingly released to NMDR.
