SIBS Place

We were so delighted to get this Thank You from SIBS Place thanking us for the Grant funds which helped make summer a bit more fun for these great kids! SIBS Place provides guided therapeutic peer support to help well children develop skills to cope with the traumatic and emotional impact of a loved one’s medical diagnosis.

CP Rochester

We were happy to return to CP Rochester to present Grant funds for their Family Dental Center. The Dental Center serves individuals with intellectual, developmental and/or physical disabilities, older adults, and the socio-economically disadvantaged. Many patients require extended appointment times or shorter, more frequent appointments to successfully complete services for which Medicaid and Medicare do not fully reimburse the Center.

Grant Award

Make A Wish of Suffolk County

We were thrilled to present Grant funds to Make-A-Wish Suffolk County, NY. Our Grant funds will be used to support their program of granting wishes to children between the ages of 2 ½ and 18 with critical illnesses. These wishes provide children with more than just a great experience. Granting a wish helps children feel stronger, empowered to take back control of their lives and more willing to comply with difficult treatments. For many of them, it marks a turning point in their fight against their illnesses.

Stack UP

We were happy to support Stack UP by providing Grant funds to support their therapeutic video gaming programs to help with mental illness and suicide prevention. Virtual reality gaming has been utilized by the VA and has shown to be an effective treatment for PTSD with certain groups of veterans. Stack UP promoted online communication, which enhances the quality and quality of communication. This leads to greater closeness and intimacy.

We were happy to fulfill a Grant request to JDRF. JDRF is the leading global organization funding Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) research. Their strength lies in their exclusive focus and singular influence on the worldwide effort to end T1D. Their Vision is a world without Type 1 Diabetes. Their Mission is improving lives today and tomorrow by accelerating life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent and treat T1D and its complications.

Angel Flight Soars

We were delighted to fulfill a Grant request from Angel Flight Soars, supporting their “Connecting Kids To Care” program. Our funds will be used to coordinate 48 mission flights serving children and their families and facilitate educational outreach to notify others of this life-saving community service.

Long Island Cares – The Harry Chapin Food Bank

Founded by the late Harry Chapin, Long Island Cares, Inc. brings together all available resources for the benefit of the hungry and food insecure on Long Island and, to the best of our ability, provides for the humanitarian needs of our community. Our goals are to improve food security for families, sponsor programs that help families achieve self-sufficiency, and educate the general public about the causes and consequences of hunger on Long Island. Our vision is “A Hunger Free Long Island”.

We were happy to again provide Grant funding to NYPD Foundation, supporting their Options Program. The Options Program provides young people with decision-making skills, a voice in their community, and career development opportunities by using virtual reality to impart better emotional intelligence.
