We were happy to present Grant funds to Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester. Our funds will be used to support their program called Common Ground: Living with Metastatic Breast or Gynecologic Cancer. This program rests on the four pillars of education, support, advocacy and research.
We were happy to present Grant funds to Mary Cariola Center to support their Day Habilitation and Clinical Services. Mary Cariola Center is the regional leader in providing innovative programs to individuals with multiple complex disabilities and a myriad of services to their families. For 75 years, Mary Cariola has helped individuals with complex disabilities and high medical or behavioral needs to ensure each child and youth reaches their fullest potential.
We were happy to return to Conscience Point Shellfish to help with the building of their Bottle Upwelling System (BUPSY) inside of the lab.
When the water temperatures are too cold for oyster growth in the outside Downwellers, they will be able to let oyster spat grow inside of these bottles. With a small lab, their efforts were limited due to the lack of space during the winter and early spring months. This system should help triple seed production compared to last year. Conscience Point donates to Southampton Township to help keep waters for everyone to enjoy!
We were happy to return to St. Charles Hospital to support their Give Vets a Smile program. This program provides dental care for homeless and low-income veterans.
We were happy to return to Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program to assist with their online Creative Arts support group and in person Creative Arts forum.
We were happy to provide Grant funds to Southeastern Guide Dogs to support their On-Campus Service Dog Training Program. This program is a critical component of their Veterans Program. Their goal is to successfully match a veteran with a service dog and train them to work as a team. During this 11-day program the teams master 20 cues to mitigate anxiety and depression, combat loneliness and overcome mobility issues.
We were happy to provide Grant funds to Imagine Special Equestrians to support their mission to enhance the mind, body and spirit of people with special needs. Their special needs equine-assisted program is unique as they utilize rescued horses to help the people in their programs..
We were happy to once again support the National Audubon Society Mid-Atlantic region in their mission of protecting birds and the places they need. This involves planning for the future using advocacy, education, and on-the-ground conservation; specifically in Pennsylvania and Maryland.
