We were delighted to fulfill a Grant request to Association for Children with Down Syndrome to support their language intensive curriculum called “Read It Once Again” in their Plainview-based special needs preschool which serves 250 children from birth to age 5. ACDS students have intensive needs and they have selected this curriculum for the rigor it applies to developing language and communication skills, which are crucial for their children to develop as they work to be integrated into their communities.

We are delighted to once again support the Scott J. Beigel Memorial Fund. Their mission is to send at-risk, underserved children affected by gun violence to summer sleep-away camp. This allows for a union between Scott’s love of summer camp and his love of children. Scott was a teacher, a cross-country coach, a counselor and a mentor who was killed at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting on February 14, 2018 and died a hero, protecting the lives of his students.
We were happy to again support Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck with Grant funds. The Camp has been welcoming children and young adults (ages 6-21+) with special needs for 75 years. Located in Center Moriches, the Camp provides a variety of creative and challenging activities that build self-esteem, promote social and personal growth, and provide experiences that these children would not otherwise be able to enjoy. Our funding will be used to address various needed renovations and upgrades to help the Camp be enjoyed for years to come.
