Brighton Food Cupboard – Jewish Family Services

We were happy to fulfill a Grant request to Brighton Food Cupboard, Jewish Family Services of Rochester. JFS has been in existence in Rochester, NY, for over 100 years. JFS empowers Jewish and non-Jewish individuals, families, and communities to thrive by providing a wide array of programs and services built upon the traditions of dignity, kindness and tikkun olam – improving the world.

Center For Youth Rochester

We were happy to return to the Center for Youth to provide Grant funding to support their Safe Harbor program. The Safe Harbor Program provides direct services to young, predominantly female victims of trafficking.

Turtle Rescue of the Hamptons

Today we presented a check to Turtle Rescue of the Hamptons in Jamesport New York. Our Grant funds will be used to help overall support and treatment of indigenous turtles in need of help. They have a whole house dedicated to the rescue, treatment, rehabilitation, and storage of many species of turtles.

Comfort Food Community

We were happy to again present Grant funding to Comfort Food Community. Our funds will be used to help hire staff and purchase key equipment for food storage and distribution essential to CFC programs.

Doylestown Health Cardiac Pavilion

We were happy to return to Doylestown hospital’s new Cardiac Pavilion in Doylestown Pennsylvania. The new “Lichtman Art Gallery” on the second floor will display various works of art from local artists. These pieces will serve as art therapy for the patients. One of the first paintings to be hung is of one of Marilyn Lichtman’s favorite dogs which was painted by a local artist. This painting was presented to the hospital on a permanent loan basis.

We were happy to return to Solebury Township Police Department to present Grant funds to support them procuring several pieces of equipment to assist in their effective response to issues and incidents in their township.

America’s VetDogs

We were happy to return to America’s VetDogs, located in Smithtown New York. They provide custom-trained service dogs to America’s veterans, service members and first responders with physical and emotional disabilities. It costs over $50,000 to breed, raise, train and place one service dog; however, there is never a charge to the recipient.

Scott J. Beigel Memorial Fund

We were honored to fulfill a grant request to the Scott J. Beigel Memorial Fund. The mission of the Scott J. Beigel Memorial Fund is to send at-risk children touched by gun violence to summer sleep-away camp. This allows for a melding of Scott’s love of camp with his love for children. Scott J. Beigel was a teacher, a cross-country coach, a counselor and a mentor. He was killed at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School by an active shooter who took the lives of 17 innocent people, including Scott. He died a hero at school protecting the lives of his students.

JAVC Jerry Ambrose Veterans Council

We were happy to provide Grant funding to JAVC Jerry Ambrose Veterans Council in Kingman, AZ. Our funds will help fund emergency shelter (motel nights) and food (vouchers to local restaurants/VISA gift cards). Veterans need a coordinated effort that provides secure housing, basic health care, substance abuse care, mental health counseling and personal development. JAVC operates a 25 unit Transitional Housing facility for homeless veterans providing a “Hand-up” approach.
