We were happy to fulfill a Grant request to Allied Foundation to support their Diaper Bank: Keeping Babies Clean, Dry and Healthy. The Allied Foundation is a not-for-profit organization founded by Allied Physicians Group. The mission of the Allied Foundation is to impact and improve the health and wellbeing of residents within Allied Physicians Group’s geographical footprint, which currently includes: Long Island (Nassau and Suffolk), Queens, Brooklyn, Richmond, Westchester, Rockland, and Orange.

Adventures In Learning

We were happy to provide Grant funds to Adventures In Learning, Long Island. Our funds will be used to staff a Friday Enrichment Program for school year 2022-2023. This enrichment program will provide students the opportunity to learn things that they would otherwise not have exposure to such as building robots, coding, boxing, following healthy recipes and creating art in different mediums.

Horses Make Miracles

We were happy to fulfill another Grant request for Horses Make Miracles, which offers activities for participants of all ages and abilities, both riding and non-riding with personalized plans specifically geared toward participant’s needs, goals and objectives. Their diverse equine assisted therapeutic programs designed for individuals of all ages include, but are not limited to: autism, cerebral palsy, developmental delays, sensory integration disorders, Down’s Syndrome, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, traumatic brain injuries, learning disabilities, multiple sclerosis, stroke, mental health issues and behavioral challenges. They also facility groups that focus on youth (Pony Power) or seniors (Silver Stirrups), volunteer opportunities, community involvement, continuing education and mentorship.

Rockaway W.I.S.H.

We were happy to provide Grant funding to Rockaway WISH. Rockaway W.I.S.H. (Women Inspired to Support & Help) was formed in 2006, from a simple meeting amongst childhood friends looking to make a difference in the community. Their mission is:
• To recognize the needs of the community and volunteer our time and talents to assist our neighbors during difficult times.
• To promote participation in charitable events, particularly those that bring attention to and support causes that affect the lives of women and children.
• To encourage a sense of civil obligation and community service.
• To foster new friendships and support networks amongst women.
• To raise funds and provide financial assistance to members of the community in need and to causes which promote positive development in the community.
• To inspire young women to be compassionate, understanding and active members of the community.

FeedMore WNY

Another Grant request fulfilled for FeedMore WNY. FeedMore WNY continues the longstanding mission of offering dignity, hope and a brighter future by providing nutritious food, friendship and skills training to its Western New York neighbors in need. Through our food bank distribution center and partner hunger-relief agencies, as well as our home-delivered meal program and other targeted feeding programs, FeedMore WNY alleviates hunger and assists community members of all ages throughout Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie and Niagara counties.

Foodlink

We were happy to return to Foodlink. Foodlink is a Rochester-based nonprofit dedicated to ending hunger and building healthier communities by addressing both the symptoms and root causes of food insecurity. They serve as the hub of the emergency food system across a 10-county service area.

We were happy to return to the Lustgarten Foundation to present Grant funds. The Lustgarten Foundation is the largest private funder of the world’s preeminent pancreatic cancer researchers.
To date, they have funded more than $225 million in research grants and been a leading force in every major advancement in pancreatic cancer research. As progress is paramount, they drive bold, innovative research with the singular mission: transforming pancreatic cancer into a curable disease.

CDS Life Transitions/Warrior Salute

We were happy to return to CDS Life Transitions, Warrior Salute Veteran Services, to present another Grant to support our nation’s veterans. Through transitional housing and case management, veterans receive several types of assistance during transition back into their community. Warrior Salute Veteran Services offers all-inclusive, supportive housing services for Veterans at their Nucor House. The program is aimed at providing a strong, supportive community to help veterans reach their personal therapeutic, social, educational and community goals. Transitional housing is open at no cost to male veterans who demonstrate the desire and motivation to benefit from all services offered.

Sunshine Campus

We were delighted to return to Sunshine Campus to present Grant funds. Each summer, more than 2,700 children and young-adult campers (ages 7 to 21 years old) with disabilities take advantage of this 157-acre campground. It is the only camp facility of its kind in Greater Rochester that gives children with special needs unique overnight camping experiences.
