Colorado Ovarian Cancer Alliance

We were happy to provide Grant funding to Colorado Ovarian Cancer Alliance (COCA), specifically helping to expand the Carol’s Wish Financial Navigation. This program was created to tackle problems with access and affordability to quality care for women diagnosed with ovarian cancers. COCA’s plan is to expand their reach to all women suffering from gynecologic cancers. The goal of the program is to alleviate both the financial and the medical consequences of what is known in medical literature as “financial toxicity.” Financial Toxicity refers to the common experience in the American health care system of the cost of care becoming a factor in the patient’s ability to heal.
